CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Much better than the unusual gifts in the "12 Days of Christmas" carol, Chapel Hill Tire's annual "12 Days of Kindness" campaign is giving $1,000 in free car care to 12 deserving people in its community.
The dealership initiative honors individuals, nominated by community members, who exemplify generosity and selflessness and awards each of them $1,000 in free automotive service.
"The holiday season is a time for joy, gratitude and giving back," Chapel Hill Tire President Marc Pons said.
"Through the 12 Days of Kindness, we have the privilege of recognizing unsung heroes in our community who dedicate their lives to making a difference."
This year's winners include:
● Ricardo Crespo Regalado, a University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill medical student and co-CEO of the Student Health Action Coalition, who has spent years volunteering to provide free health care to underserved patients.
