COMMERCE, Calif. — The California Tire Dealers Association will hold its annual 1-800EveryRim New Year luncheon on Jan. 30 at the Stevens Steak and Seafood House in Commerce.
"In light of the current tragedies impacting the region, CTDA leadership considered whether moving ahead with the luncheon is the responsible thing to do," the organization said a news release.
"Ultimately, it was decided that the luncheon presents an opportunity to come together as a community, accept donations for fire victims, especially those in the tire business, and provide support to those impacted."
The event is free for members; $50 for non-member tire dealers prepay; and $75 for non-member vendors and non-member tire dealers day-of registration. A handful of free non-member spots are available thanks to event sponsors.
The event, which will include a trade show, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Those who want to attend should register here or email [email protected].
Attendees are asked to bring donations, either financial or of hard goods such as such as canned food, blankets and towels, batteries, device chargers, first aid kits, bottled water and packaged drinks.
The lunch will include a panel discussion on Right to Repair with Tire Industry Association (TIA) President Debra Hamlin of Bridgestone Americas, TIA CEO Dick Gust and newly elected CTDA President Steve Boyajian of Tire Pros.
Among the vendors and sponsors scheduled to appear are: Federated Insurance; 1-800EveryRim OEM Wheels; Wholesale Tire Distributors; Tire Tutor; Yokohama; Myers Tire Supply; Crystal Clean; Tire Base, Conceptual Minds; and the Independent Tire Dealers Group (ITDG).
