WHITEVILLE, N.C. — The team at Black's Tire & Wheel Service (BTS) has mobilized to get relief to hard-hit victims of Hurricane Helene.
The family-owned dealership, with 72 locations in the region, is collecting goods at each of its dealerships to help affected residents.
Immediate needs include cases of water and sports drinks; non-perishable food; baby formula, wipes and diapers; heavy duty work gloves; trash bags (13 gallon or contractor); cleaning supplies; toiletries and sanitation items; flashlights and batteries; and pet supplies.
Items may be shipped directly to BTS Distribution (hurricane relief) at 30 Bitmore Road, Whiteville, N.C. 28472.
Delivery specialists can pick items up and transport them back to the BTS loading docks.
"It's overwhelming to see the support from people," BTS Vice President of Sales and Marketing Rick Benton II said. "I'm glad to see people come together when there is a need,"
The goods will trucked into areas of Western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina with urgent needs.
