HANOVER, Germany — Zhongce Rubber Group Co. Ltd. (ZC Rubber) has extended its strategic partnership with DSV A/S, a logistics company and subsidiary of DSV Road Holding NV.
The agreement extends the collaboration by 10 years, ZC Rubber said, "further strengthening the relationship between the two companies." The partnership began in 2014, initially focusing on DSV's trailer fleets with Westlake tires.
ZC Rubber said the partnership expanded to include DSV securing exclusive rights to distributing Westlake tires in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. ZC Rubber credits DSV for its brand growth in the Scandinavian market.
DSV recently acquired DB Schenker, the logistics subsidiary of German state-owned railway operator Deutsche Bahn, for approximately $16 billion. ZC Rubber said the acquisition positions DSV as one of the world's largest freight operators.
As part of the extension, DSV Road Holding will continue to equip its trailer fleets with Westlake tires and has committed to fitting all new trailer purchases with Westlake brand tiress, as welll as promoting the brand to OEM manufacturers in Europe.
Westlake's portfolio includes its Gen II truck tires, including WSL2, WDL2, WTR2 and WAM2, engineered for the demands of the European market.
Leo Liao, sales director Europe of ZC Rubber Group, said the partnership expanded the reach and reputation of Westlake in European markets.
