Known for its retro vibe, emphasis on fun competition and dubbed "The Happiest Race on Earth," the Yokohama NORRA Mexican 1000 is a five-day, 1,300-mile trek through Mexico's Baja Peninsula.
"We've really enjoyed partnering with the National Off Road Racing Association on the Mexican 1000, a truly unique, classic Baja off-road rally," Fardad Niknam, Yokohama Tire's senior director of product planning and product marketing, said.
"It's a fun event for the competitors and has been an excellent venue to highlight our rugged Geolandar tire line."
One entry to note: Rallycross and Formula Drift veteran Tanner Foust will drive a 2021 Volkswagen ID.4 electric SUV in the Evolution Electric Vehicles class, running on Geolandar tires.
