SANTA ANA, Calif. — Yokohama Tire Corp. (YTC) is back at Baja.
The tire maker returns as the title sponsor of the Yokohama National Off Road Racing Association (NORRA) Mexican 1000 for the fifth consecutive year. The 54th running of the rally is taking place April 25-29 on the Baja California Peninsula.
Known for its retro vibe, emphasis on fun competition and dubbed "The Happiest Race on Earth," the Yokohama NORRA Mexican 1000 is a five-day, 1,300-mile trek through Mexico's Baja Peninsula.
"We've really enjoyed partnering with the National Off Road Racing Association on the Mexican 1000, a truly unique, classic Baja off-road rally," Fardad Niknam, Yokohama Tire's senior director of product planning and product marketing, said.
"It's a fun event for the competitors and has been an excellent venue to highlight our rugged Geolandar tire line."
