SANTA ANA, Calif. — Yokohama Tire Corp., in conjunction with the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association's Tire Safety Week June 27-July 3 initiative, is launching a "fast-paced" seven-part Tire Tips video series.
The 30-second to one-minute videos are hosted by veteran Drift racer Dai Yoshihara, who explains various aspects of tire safety.
The videos will be posted throughout Tire Safety Week. They can be found on Yokohama's social media channels and on Yokohama's website under Tires 101.
"We are putting a fun twist to the traditional tire safety videos with short, fast clips that make them easy to understand, but also fun to watch," Alan Holtschneider, Yokohama's director of marketing, said.
"We've enlisted the expertise of Dai Yoshihara to go over various aspects of tire safety. Who better to explain to audiences the importance of tire safety while guiding them to make good choices around them?"
Yokohama's Tire Tips topics include: tire pressure, tire alignments, choosing the right tire, tread depth, tire pressure monitoring systems and the 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol.
