Yokohama Tire’s ADVAN Sport V107 is initially available in 54 sizes.

SANTA ANA, Calif. — Yokohama Tire Corp. (YTC) has expanded its line of Advan ultra-high-performance (UHP) tires with the release of the Advan Sport V107, a tire developed for drivers of high-powered sports cars, sport coupes, performance sedans and SUVs.

The V107 launches in 54 low-profile sizes covering 18- to 22-inch rim diameters, with some 23-inch sizes coming early next year.

The tire features an "outstanding grip" created by a new ultra-microsilica compound that improves grip for cornering and breaking on wet and dry surfaces, Yokohama said.

    Other highlights include:

    • A rayon-matrix body ply that offer responsive handling and improves steering on dry roads.
    • An advanced asymmetric tread design with solid center ribs that provides constant contact to the road surface, enhancing steering and cornering.
    • A contour profile that provides high-speed stability by an improved cross-sectional shape, made by rayon and polyamide cap plies, provides even pressure on the road surface.
    • A quiet ride thanks to Yokohama's "silent sipe" technology — distinctively shaped sipes on the tire's inner ribs that help reduce external vehicle noise.

"With a new compound and construction, nothing is compromised with the Advan Sport V107," Drew Dayton, Yokohama's senior product planning manager, consumer tires, said.

"It provides excellent wet/dry performance, superior grip, precise handling, driver stability at high speeds and, of course, a quiet and comfortable ride – everything and more drivers expect from Yokohama's premium ultra-high performance Advan line."

The V107 is one of nine models offered in the Advan line of UHP tires. Pricing information was not disclosed.
