SANTA ANA, Calif. — Yokohama Tire Corp. will raise prices for the fifth time since Dec. 1, 2020.
The tire maker said it will increase prices by an undisclosed percentage on its consumer replacement tires and commercial truck tires sold in the U.S., effective Feb. 1.
Yokohama said the increase is "in response to the continued rise in operational costs."
Yokohama raised prices three times in 2021: May 1, Aug. 1 and Nov. 1, each by an undisclosed percentage on replacement consumer and commercial truck tires sold in the U.S.; and on Dec. 1, 2020, by up to 6% on Dec. 1, 2020, on "select" commercial truck and bus tires.
