BOWIE, Md. — Voting has begun for 13 candidates, including two incumbents, who are vying for four open spots on the 2024-2025 Tire Industry Association (TIA) board of directors.
Voting opened July 9 and will close on Sept. 1. Election materials have been mailed to the primary contacts at all eligible TIA member companies.
Those elected will serve three-year terms.
The nominees are:
- Derek Arp, general manager, Great Lakes Best One Inc., Cleveland;
- Jeff Campbell, chief supply officer, Tire Discounters, Cincinnati;
- Michael Cioffi, founder, Tire Talent, New Rochelle, N.Y. ;
- Sarah Mason, safety manager, Fountain Tire Corp., Edmonton, Alberta;
- Seth Murphree, risk specialist, Travel Centers of America, Anderson, S.C.;
- Kristen Petrilla, director of project management, Haltec Corp., Leetoniz, Ohio;
- Chris Rhoades, vice president, BKT Tires, Copley, Ohio;
- Lee Schohr, director of safety, manufacturing and logistics, Commercial Tire, Meridian, Idaho;
- Gary Schroeder, executive vice president, Bob Sumerel Tire Co., Erlanger, Ky.;
- John Sparks, president, Sparks Commercial Tire Inc., Findlay, Ohio;
- Jason Thomas, CEO, Tire Management Holdings L.L.C., Aurora, Ill.;
- Tony Tumblin, strategic account manager, Tech International, Inman, S.C.; and
- Michael Welch, CEO and president, Treadsy and Tirebuyer, Huntersville, N.C.
Voting is open only to eligible TIA members in good standing. Members can vote via paper ballot or online on the association's website at: tireindustry.org. The website also includes biographies of each candidate.
Election results will be announced in mid-September with the new board members taking office Nov. 4 at TIA's annual membership meeting during the Global Tire Expo/SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
