Vogue unveils wide whitewall tire for American cars

MOUNT PROSPECT, Ill. — Vogue Tyre & Rubber Co. has added a Classic White wide whitewall tire to its portfolio.

The Vogue Classic White, available in size 235/75R15 with a 1.5-inch-wide whitewall, is targeted at consumers looking for a modern tire with a classic look.

The product is now available for independent tire dealers to order from Vogue wholesale distributors.

Vogue claims to have created the original whitewall tire when, in 1914, Harry Hower, a chauffeur at the time, teamed up with the Woodbury family to develop the first whitewall tire, named Vogue.

The Vogue Classic White features an OE white whitewall look with modern safety and performance and fits most classic big-bodied American-made vehicles, the company said.

Available in T speed rating, the Classic White also features:

• Vogue Tyre's "Miracle" tread compound formulated to provide improved traction and extreme silica technology to provide improved wet grip;
• XL load range with a robust belt and sidewall package to navigate tough road conditions;
• 60,000 mile manufacturer's treadwear warranty; and
• VogueTech Comfort Ride System with optimized tread design along with specifically tuned body ply construction for a quiet and comfortable ride.

Vogue Tyre did not identify the tire's manufacturer or country of origin.
