FAIRFAX, Va. — Virginia Tire & Auto recently broke ground on a 12-bay retail service location in Leesburg, which is expected to open in summer 2021.
The new store, Virginia Tire's 18th throughout Virginia, is located in The Shops at Russell Branch, a new shopping complex being developed in Leesburg, the Fairfax-based dealership said.
"This new store will significantly expand our service area and provide our existing customers in Leesburg a more convenient location for car care," Virginia Tire Co-CEO Julie Holmes said.
The dealership did not disclose its expected investment in the project.
The shopping complex is located in the southeast quadrant of Leesburg, a city of 54,000 sitting about 40 miles northwest of Washington D.C.
The store — Virginia Tire's seventh in Loudon County — will feature:
- Complimentary Wi-Fi, drinks and snacks;
- Free loaner cars for services over $200;
- Online appointment scheduling;
- Dedicated customer shuttle; and
- Kids play area.
According to Paul Weinschenk, president of Peterson Companies' Retail Division, which is developing the Russell Branch shopping complex: "Virginia Tire & Auto's dedication to this area and to their customers helps further our vision for this center and our mission to positively impact the communities we serve."
The tire store will be located between an Exxon-branded gasoline station and a BriteWash car wash, according the development's plans.
This expansion follows a busy 2019 for the dealership, which opened four retail stores throughout the year, in Herndon, Richmond and Vienna (two locations).
At 17 outlets, Virginia Tire is among the 60 largest retail tire dealerships in the U.S., according to Tire Business calculations.
