ASHLAND, Ky. — Automotive lubricants supplier Valvoline Inc. is pledging support for TBC Corp.'s "Aligned in Hope" philanthropic partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).
Ashland-based Valvoline plans to make an undisclosed donation in October to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of the Bluegrass in Lexington, Ky., a non-profit that's part of a of a global network of over 377 affiliated programs in 45 countries and regions.
RMHC helps families stay close to a hospital where their ill or injured children are being treated.
RMHC of the Bluegrass has three core programs: a 21-room Ronald McDonald House in Lexington, a Ronald McDonald Family Room located inside Kentucky Children's Hospital, and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, a mobile dental clinic centered in Hazard, Ky.
TBC announced its partnership with RHMC in March, pledging support through its Tire Kingdom and NTB Tire & Service Centers retail stores to families aided by the charity.

Valvoline is the second TBC Retail supplier to agree to support TBC's Aligned in Hope endeavor. In July Interstate Batteries Inc. agreed to make a donation to RHMC.
TBC Retail stores began offering the Valvoline Ultimate Oil Change at the firm's 600-plus NTB and Tire Kingdom stores this summer.
