SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — U.S. AutoForce is opening a wholesale distribution center in West Salt Lake City in August to service customers throughout central Utah.

The new warehouse, located near the I-80/I-275 interchange, will be Appleton, Wis.-based U.S. AutoForce's first facility in the Beehive State and 34th distribution center nationwide. The company declined to say how large the new facility is, whether it's leased or how many employees will work there.

"The Salt Lake City market has been part of our overall growth plans for a long time," U.S AutoForce President Pat Hietpas said. "We will bring unmatched brand availability and service to our customers and will work hard every day to earn their business."

U.S. AutoForce considers the Salt Lake City area a "greenfield" market, but it has hired a "seasoned" sales team with extensive industry experience to oversee the rollout of service in that area.

Customers in the area also will be able to participate in several tire manufacturer marketing programs as well as U.S. AutoForce's exclusive Tire One, Tread Pros and Dealer Force marketing programs.

Seven of U.S. AutoForce's 33 warehouses — those in California and Nevada — are operated by Tire's Warehouse, the Corona, Calif.-based wholesaler acquired by AutoForce in June 2018.

This is the comany's second warehousing opening in the past nine months. In October 2019 it opened a 151,000-sq.-ft. facility in Farmers Branch, Texas, a Dallas-Fort Worth suburb.

U.S. AutoForce is a division of U.S. Venture, a diversified distributor of petroleum and renewable energy products, lubricants and tires and parts for the automotive aftermarket.
