GRANTHAM, England — Brazilian tread rubber supplier Borrachas Vipal S/A will see its brand receive more exposure on United Kingdom roadways this year thanks to Vaculug Ltd., Europe's largest independent retreader.
Grantham-based Vaculug, which has been working with Vipal for 12 years, plans to display the Vipal name on two of its trucks.
"It will be a great branding action for Vipal," Vaculug Executive Chairman Haarjeev Kandhari said.
"We are going to take the logo stamped on our vehicles to different locations through our domestic market to gain even more recognition, besides showing everyone our excellent relationship."
"We also want to reinforce with our internal team and drivers the confidence we have in the company and its products, which we have proven on the road to be the best and most durable in the market when it comes to tire retreads", he said.
Porto Alegre, Brazil-based Vipal calls itself one of the largest tire retreading suppliers in the world. Operations include four tread rubber plants with combined installed capacity of 19,000 metric tons per month, 13 distribution centers and a presence in more than 90 countries.
Vipal opened a U.K. distribution center in Felixstowe, England, in 2014 to be closer to its customers throughout the British Isles.
"This shows how strong the relationship and commitment is between Vaculug and Vipal. It is a source of pride for us to supply treads and other products to a retreader with so much tradition," Vipal Rubber Commercial Manager Fabricio Nedeff said.
