STOW, Ohio — U.S. tire distributor Tyres International Ltd. has launched an Ascenso-branded materials-handling tire that is available for immediate shipment.

The Ascenso FLB 680, whose main application is for forklifts, is available for container shipments and is stocked in multiple warehouses, according to Tyres International, a subsidiary of India's Mahansaria Tyres Ltd.

The tire will come in 14 sizes.

Tyres International said the product has a unique block pattern design that ensures high traction, optimum load distribution and a wide footprint for solid stability. The company said the tire provides enhanced performance indoors and outdoors.

The FLB 680 is a part of a line of materials-andling Ascenso tires. Each Ascenso bias tires have a five-year limited warranty.

India's Mahansaria Tyres struck a deal in June 2021 to buy majority control of Tyres International as a first step toward building a North American distribution network.

In October, Tyres International announced the opening of a third U.S. warehouse distribution center, in Dublin, Ohio, and is evaluating the market for potential additional openings.

Tyres International's other warehouses are in Sparks, Nev., and at its headquarters in Stow, northeast of Akron. The company distributes Ascenso agriculture, construction and off-road tires along with Westlake commercial truck and specialty trailer tires and Sunrise commercial truck wheels in both container direct and warehouse programs.
