DENVER — Colorado-based entrepreneurs have opened Christian Brothers Automotive-branded franchised auto care centers in the Denver suburb communities of Arvada and Wheat Ridge, Colo.

The newly opened shops — both greenfield constructions — are the 27th and 28th Christian Brothers locations in Colorado.

In Arvada, local entrepreneur Luke Johnson is venturing into the auto repair business for the first time after spending nearly a decade in the lawncare sector, first with his father's business and then as head of his own company specializing in automated landscaping machines.

    • This story appears in the Aug. 1 print edition of Tire Business.

"When I was looking for a business venture that would take my career to the next level, investing into my own success with Christian Brothers Automotive was a simple decision, considering the brand's reputation," Johnson said.

"We strive to show our 'nice difference' by creating a lasting relationship with our guests — one in which we can develop long-term trust," Johnson said.

"We aren't looking to upsell additional services when guests don't absolutely need more work done to their cars. Instead, we talk through a guest's options and give them the keys to make the final decision."

    Wheat Ridge

In Wheat Ridge— a western suburb of Denver — local resident Doug Troxell opened a nine-bay shop close to the town center, offering the Christian Brothers portfolio of auto repair and preventive maintenance services.

Prior to opening the shop in Wheat Ridge, Troxell worked with a food distributor that serviced a variety of venues including hotels and restaurants. During his time as a sales manager there, Troxell said he honed the operations and relationship-building skills that will be crucial to owning and operating his automotive repair shop.

"The mission of every Christian Brothers Automotive is to radiate positivity to our guests," Troxell said in a Christian Brothers press release, "whether that be through acting as trusted partner that they can rely on for expert auto care or taking an active role in the community where we live and work."
