FRANKLIN, Tenn. — Triangle Tire USA has strengthened its distribution capabilities for truck/bus and OTR tires in the Northeast, Southeast and West through third-party distribution agreements with existing wholesale enterprises in those areas.
The move includes improved coverage for customers in the Northeast and West, carried out by a third-party wholesale distributor in Kearny, N.J., and Phoenix, along with a change in the distribution partner in Savannah, Ga., for the Southeast.
The new agreements in the Southeast and West replace ones Triangle previously had with two other third-party distributors.
All three are described as "third-party" distribution agreements, meaning Triangle has secured warehouse space in those companies' warehouses. Triangle Tire USA declined to identify the companies with which they've contracted.
"Our increased warehouse capacity allows us to better supply customers with smaller tire orders in between container deliveries," Stephen Reynolds, OTR director, said.
"In the OTR world when a machine is down minutes count. With this expansion, we can better serve our servicing dealers so they can better serve their customers."
In addition, Reynolds said, the company is deploying a new software program that allows it to monitor/track inventory in real time to provide reliable and accurate information to customers.
Triangle Tire USA also offers a full range of truck/bus tires for line-haul, regional and mixed-service applications, as well as passenger/light truck and ST (specialty trailer) tires.
It is a subsidiary of Triangle Group Co. Ltd., a Shandong, China-based producer of radial and bias-ply OTR and truck/bus tires. Triangle is considered the No. 22 tire maker worldwide, based on fiscal 2021 sales of $1.4 billion, according to Tire Business' Global Tire Report annual rankings.
