Triangle debuts radial OTR tire for high-speed cranes

FRANKLIN, Tenn. — Triangle Tire USA Inc. has added a radial OTR tire, the TB576 (E-2), for high-speed cranes.

According to Triangle, the tire's benefits include:

• Straight rib design for good comfort in high-speed applications;
• Longitudinal shoulder design for dependable traction and even wear;
• Innovatively designed crown with a stepped stone ejection groove to prevent stone pinching and improve traction; and
• Reinforced ribs connecting with circumferential blocks for good performance on and off the road.

The tire comes in the following sizes: 25/80R25 (20.5R25), 385/95R24 (14.00R24) and 385/95R25 (14.00R25). The 20.5R25 size "fills a significant product gap for us," Stephen Reynolds, director of OTR sales for Triangle,said.

"There's no smoke and mirrors in this industry; your tires either perform or they don't."

Triangle claims to be a top-three supplier to Caterpillar Inc. worldwide and supplies OTR tires globally to many other heavy equipment manufacturers, including Doosan Group, Hyundai Construction Equipment, Hitachi Construction Equipment Co. Ltd. and Komatsu Ltd.
