WESTLAKE, Ohio — TravelCenters of America is looking to hire 250 or more vehicle technicians — including tire and lube techs — in the coming weeks in part to support the growth of its TechOn-Site mobile truck maintenance team.
TA has plans to add over 50 TechOn-Site vehicles this year to its fleet of such vehicles, which are designed to provide maintenance and repair to drivers in their distribution lots or home bases, before departing to haul their freight. TA offers TechOn-Site services at 68 of its TA and Petro truck stops throughout the U.S.
"As we continue to build the trust of more and more professional drivers and fleets to keep their equipment rolling, we have seen increased demand for our services," Brian Lukavich, divisional vice president, TA Truck Service, said.
"In addition, we are revamping the entire TA Truck Service experience, and adding technicians is a key piece of the puzzle; it will allow drivers to get our expert service even faster."
The company is inviting interested candidates to apply at in-person open interviews held at TA Truck Service centers across the country, now through April 28, on Mondays and Wednesdays, 4 to 6 p.m. (local time) at all TA Truck Service centers nationwide. Candidates can also apply online at tapetrocareers.com.
The Westlake-based truck-stop operator is seeking full- and part-time techs to work both at truck maintenance facilities and in the TechOn-Site program.
Full-time positions offer medical, dental, vision, life insurance and paid vacation and holidays. Benefits also include tuition reimbursement, a student loan payment program and the diesel technician apprenticeship program. There are also extensive paid training and career growth opportunities
TA operates over 270 locations in 44 states and Canada, principally under the TA, Petro Stopping Centers and TA Express brands.
