ARLINGTON, Va. — The Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) of the American Trucking Associations is splitting its 2021 annual meeting into two events — a spring meeting to be held virtually over the weeks of April 12-15 and 19-23 and an in-person fall meeting in Cleveland Sept. 12-16.
"Bringing trucking's leading minds together to discuss important trends in technology and maintenance in the industry is an important part of TMC's mission," TMC Executive Director Robert Braswell said.
"As we continue to monitor news related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we believe altering our plans for our 2021 events is the best and safest way to bring our industry together."
The conference and trade show had been scheduled for March 8-11 in Orlando.
The fall event at the Huntington Convention Center in downtown Cleveland will include the TMC's Transportation Technology Exhibition as well as a scaled-down TMCSuperTech 2021.
The schedule, registration, exhibitor, sponsorship and other information will appear on the new event sites soon.
Those already registered for TMC's 2021 annual meeting will have their registrations automatically applied to the fall meeting/exhibition in Cleveland. Those who cannot attend the fall event may contact TMC for other options, such as applying those funds to the 2022 spring meeting or requesting a refund.
The ATA council has scheduled its 2022 Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition for March 7-10 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
