ATLANTA —TireHub L.L.C., the national tire distributor co-founded by Bridgestone Americas Inc. and Goodyear, plans to expand into three new markets: Tucson, Ariz.; Beltsville, Md.; and McAllen, Texas.
The company also plans to expand the capabilities of its TireHub distribution centers (D/Cs) in Memphis, Tenn., and Metairie, La.
The McAllen D/C, which will open this month, will support customers in the Lower Rio Grande Valley and grow TireHub's presence in the southern Texas market, the company said.
The Tucson D/C, which will open early next year, will provide faster support to area customers with additional services at a higher delivery cadence, TireHub said.
The Beltsville D/C, which will open early next year, will bolster TireHub's presence in the northern Virginia and Washington D.C., areas, serving new and existing customers, the company said.
"TireHub's trajectory going into 2022 is undeniably strong, and we are confident about what's ahead for us in the new year," Interim TireHub CEO Ted Becker said.
"Our goal is to be the leading wholesale tire distributor in the United States. To accomplish this, we are consistently expanding and strengthening our presence across the country to provide exceptional customer service."
Meanwhile, the Memphis D/C is moving to a bigger facility before yer-end, and the Metairie D/C is leasing additional space next door to its facility, thereby doubling its current size. Both expansions will allow TireHub to better serve customers, the wholesaler said.
"We will remain focused on differentiating ourselves through customer service and support to drive growth in 2022 and beyond. With the new year on the horizon, there is plenty to look forward to as we plan for the months ahead," Mr. Becker said.
TireHub launched in July 2018 and operates 71 logistics centers in the U.S. offering full passenger and light truck tire lines from Goodyear and Bridgestone as well as Toyo passenger tires.
