ATLANTA — TireHub, the national tire distributor co-founded by Goodyear and Bridgestone Americas Inc., has named Ted Becker as its new CEO.
Becker served as the interim CEO after Peter Gibbons' departure from the company in October 2021. He previously was TireHub's vice president of sales and marketing.
Becker joined TireHub in August 2020 and has more than 25 years of experience in the tire and automotive industries, specializing in business transformation and commercial growth, the company said.
"As we embarked on our search for the next TireHub CEO, we were continually reminded of Ted's impressive achievements growing TireHub's business the past few months. He exemplifies the leadership traits and demonstrates the executive management skills a CEO of a joint venture needs," Bridgestone and Goodyear representatives said in a statement.
"Today's announcement reflects our commitment to accelerate TireHub's success, and with Ted's breadth of industry experience, we look forward to TireHub's new and continued plans to help dealers and retailers grow their business."
Prior to joining TireHub, Becker served as the president of Exide Technologies Americas, responsible for its automotive and industrial business units. Previously, Becker worked for Michelin for 21 years. At Michelin, he held various sales and marketing positions in both the passenger and truck business units, including roles of director of sales and vice president of marketing.
"This is a time of dynamic growth for TireHub, and I am passionate about the opportunity to take our company and our customers' business to the next level," Becker said.
