ATLANTA — TireHub L.L.C recently donated 70 sets of tires to community members near its 70 distribution centers across the U.S. through its "Project Joyride" program.
Each of TireHub's 70 distribution centers partnered with a retail customer, who then chose a customer in their community to surprise with a new set of free tires during the holiday season. Many dealers also gave customers auto maintenance and services free of charge, the company said.
"In a time in which so many members in our community are giving so much to others, Project Joyride is our way to directly fulfill our promise of providing tire dealers with tires their customers will love," TireHub CEO Peter Gibbons said.
"The difference in driving on any tire and the right tire is a mile wide. At TireHub, we are passionate about spreading good will to deserving dealers and consumers as a show of our commitment to our customers and communities."
In August lst year, TireHub teamed with affiliated service shops to provide free tires to essential workers serving the community on the front lines of the pandemic through the program Helping Hoops.
TireHub is the national tire distributor cofounded in 2018 by Bridgestone Americas Inc. and Goodyear.
