Tire Stickers' 'Cerebrum' TPMS operates via an app on mobile devices.

LAS VEGAS — Tire Stickers L.L.C., a 13-year-old company specializing in aftermarket tire decals, has branched into a higher tech field, developing an aftermarket tire-pressure-monitoring system (TPMS) product it's marketing under the name "Cerebrum."

Van Nuys, Calif.-based Tire Stickers describes Cerebrum as an "intelligent tire solution utilizing revolutionary, patented sensor technology mounted directly to the tire."

Cerebrum sensors provide advanced tire pressure and temperature data to the vehicle as well as tread depth, alignment and performance data to the operator through a mobile application.

The product earned a New Products Awards runner-up nod at the 2019 SEMA Show in the Performance-Street Product category.

Tire Stickers is calling Cerebrum a standardized solution, designed to fit any tire type and wheel size.

Unlike traditional TPMS, Tire Stickers said, Cerebrum sensors act as the complete tire "brain," providing a range of data such as tire pressure, temperature, load, tread depth and even alignment viewable at a glance through the app and backed up to the cloud.

Tire Stickers' was recognized at the 2019 SEMA Show among the best new products.

The data can be used to improve vehicle performance, fuel consumption, excess emissions and overall safety.

The company also stresses it's offering an advanced mode for those who are more performance-oriented drivers, with functions that can track tire pressures and temperatures corner by corner at a track day using GPS coordinates. The system can even offer pressure adjustment recommendations for enhanced on-track performance.

A Cerebrum kit — which contains four sensors, the base housings, the adhesive and a cleaning solution — retails for $399.99 via Tire Stickers.com. Once Cerebrum sensors are installed, Tire Stickers said traditional mounting and balancing can be done by a qualified tire technician.

The one cross-over between the company's traditional business and this new venture is adhesive technology. The firm has adapted its proprietary adhesive decal technology to attaching the TPMS unit to the tire's innerliner.

The firm has been serving the automotive community since 2007 with custom multi-color, high-definition branding solutions that offer a more "cost-effective" and efficient brand identity application, the company said.

In 2018, Michelin North America authorized Tire Stickers to offer decals for five BFGoodrich tire lines — g-Force Rival; g-Force Comp 2 and Comp 2 A/S; All-Terrain T/A KO2 (select sizes); and Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 — in white outline, solid white lettering and red, white and blue combinations.

Cerebrum sends tire data to users' phones via the Cloud.
