JMK Computerized TDIS Inc. is offering a smartphone marketing application, Service//SMART, for tire and auto service dealerships.

URBANA, Ill. — JMK Computerized TDIS Inc., provider of the TireSmart office management system, is offering a smartphone marketing application for tire and auto service dealerships.

The app, Service//SMART (powered by JMK), ties into any point-of-sale system, the company said.

By using a QR code sticker affixed in a vehicle's windshield, the dealership can export data from a POS system to a customer's smartphone as a way to generate repeat service sales, the company said.

With the app, a customer can view vehicle service history with invoice images, vehicle alignment images, recommended services, targeted service coupons, loyalty point redemption, social media reviews, automated appointment scheduling, driving instructions, text/email contact and automated service reminders.

Dealerships can subscribe monthly or annually.

"With this option, dealers can immediately present a modern smartphone marketing image to seamlessly 'drive' repeat service sales from smartphone-centered and commercial customers," the company said.

"Fellow 'Generation Z' members love their smartphones more than their vehicles and see service maintenance as an inconvenience to be dealt with, using minimal effort or phone contact. The ability for automated service reference/appointments directly parallels their ingrained social media-style, non-vocal-preferred, web-based contact," Senior Project Developer Jonah Toch said.

"Service//SMART is a national program with cost efficiency based on multi-year development — to give local tire and vehicle service dealer customers another reason for their loyalty."

The new integration will be showcased at booth #42082 of the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nov 1-4.
