Tire Pros, Point S, Point S Canada execs to appear on livestream

    AKRON — Key executives from Tire Pros, Point S Auto Service and Point S Canada will join Don Detore and Bruce Davis of Tire Business on Wednesday, Aug. 19, for a livestream discussion, "The State of Aftermarket Groups: A Look at Marketing Groups, Franchises and More."

    Greg Bell,  president of Tire Pros, Walter Lybeck, CEO of Point S, and Patrick Lavoie, director of marketing, merchandising, ecommerce and communications at Point S Canada, will make up the panel for the free, one-hour long session set to start at 3 p.m. EDT on Aug. 19.

    Mr. Bell was appointed president of Tire Pros in July 2019. He is responsible for leading the Tire Pros franchise strategy, operations and marketing support teams for  Huntersville, N.C.-based American Tire Distributors Inc (ATD).

    Previously, Mr. Bell served in various capacities with ATD, including vice president of inside sales and ATD region president, Southeast. He has 25 years of combined sales and operations experience, according to ATD.

    Mr. Lybeck has been CEO of Portland, Ore.-based Point S Auto Service since 2015 and CFO of Tire Factory Inc. since 2010.

    Walter Lybeck

    He oversees all aspects of the marketing cooperative, including finance, accounting, treasury, credit, insurance, receivables and human resources.

    In his role, Mr. Lybeck reports to a nine-person board representing the members of the cooperative. He is responsible to 150-plus members, all of whom have an ownership stake in the business. He led the group from its transition from Tire Factory to Point S, as well as developed the first generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) financial statements as well as the group's first budgeting process used annually.

    As director of marketing, merchandising, ecommerce and communications at Point S Canada, Mr. Lavoie is responsible for more than 850 point of sales within multiple banners network.

    Mr. Lavoie oversees all marketing and communication activities for several retail banners, including Point S, Point S, V1, Otobox, Prestige Tires, Méga Pneu, Pneus and Max Plus.
