WESTERVILLE, Ohio — Tire Discounters has opened a store in Westerville, its 15th store in the greater Columbus, Ohio, area.
The new store, a greenfield construction on Columbus's north side in the Polaris Parkway area, is a 10-bay facility featuring Tire Discounters' signature open floor plan customer area. It's located about 3 1/2 miles east of the next closest Tire Discounters outlet, in north Columbus.
Westerville is a northeast suburb of Columbus with roughly 36,000 residents.
"Customers have been asking us for a long time to open more Tire Discounters stores on the north side of Columbus," Charles Curlee, vice president of retail sales, said.
Columbus is Tire Discounters' second-largest metro market, outside of Cincinnati, the dealership's home market.
Tire Discounters, the eighth-largest independent tire dealership in the U.S. with 140-plus stores in five states, did not disclose its investment in the new store nor comment on its staffing level.
"As a family-owned and operated business, we treat our customers like family," Tire Discounters President and CEO Jamie Ward said. "We give our customers the value and quality service they deserve. It's that simple."
