If you're a regular reader of Tire Business, then you know that we have big plans for 2025, and our two latest initiatives — a mobile app and digital edition viewer — just launched.
The new Tire Business mobile app is available for download by searching "Tire Business" in the Apple or Google Play app stores.
The app was a full year in the making and involved some overhauls of our systems — infrastructure improvements to bring our website, and now the app, into the future. We're very excited. The new app looks clean and is very smooth to use.
You can view news by latest story or by the biggest headline. You also can customize what topics you want to see so that your feed always brings you news of interest.
The app lets you enable news alerts to pop up on your phone, which means you can learn the latest in the tire industry as soon as it publishes. A recent alert, for example, was the breaking news that Mavis was going to acquire Midas from TBC Corp.
The main reason for the app is to bring a better presentation of our work to your phone.
We want to be where ever you want to read your news.
And we aim to elevate our work. We've added a veteran staff reporter and multiple new freelance writers so that we can expand our industry coverage. This year, we covered the CES in Las Vegas for the first time to learn about future mobility technology, and we covered the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in New Delhi, India, to learn what plans India tire makers have for the North American market. And that's just the start.
While all of this "new" news will find a home on the website and app, we are adding more print editions of the magazine this year. In the tire industry, news of print's demise has been greatly exaggerated. We can't tell you how happy we get when we see a copy of Tire Business on a shop counter.
