AKRON — It's down to the wire: The deadline to honor a worthy tire dealer is July 31.
Nominations are due July 31 for the 2020 Tire Dealer Humanitarian Award, which recognizes an independent tire dealer, wholesaler or retreader who, during the past year, has made significant contributions to the betterment of his or her community through charitable or public service work.
The winner, selected by an independent committee outside of the tire industry, will receive the Tire Dealer Humanitarian Award Medal and a $2,500 donation to the charity of his or her choice.
The 27th annual award, sponsored by Tire Business, will be presented during the 2020 Tire Industry Association Honors Luncheon on Nov. 2, prior to the opening of the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show, Nov. 3-6, in Las Vegas.
Bob Kellogg, president of Glens Falls, N.Y.-based Warren Tire, was named the 2019 recipient of the Tire Business Tire Dealer Humanitarian Award.
