BOWIE, Md. – Tire demounting, mounting and inflation is the topic of Tire Industry Association's free webinar sessions scheduled for May 26-28.
Registration for week two of the trade group's Automotive Tire Service webinar series is available at tireindustry.org.
TIA is providing six weeks of free online video conference webinars that are focusing tire service training for passenger and light truck tire service technicians. The upcoming sessions will discuss safety guidelines for working with tires on rims with tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensors.
"It will cover the steps technicians need to take in order to protect the beads and sensors from damage during the demount/mount process as well as the procedures that technicians should follow to protect themselves during the inflation process," TIA Senior Vice President of Training Kevin Rohlwing said in a statement.
Future ATS webinars will feature the following topics: balance, June 2-4; wheel torque, June 9-11; tire repair, June 16-18; and TPMS Service, June 23-25.
Each 30-minute webinar is scheduled for 10 a.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. EDT each day. A TIA staff instructor will be available for additional questions after class.
