BOWIE, Md. — The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has redesigned its website to give it a more modern, professional appearance with improved navigation.
TIA noted especially that navigation is improved for those seeking information on the association's tire technician training classes. The changes also are meant to represent the association better in the marketplace.
"The TIA website serves as the association's primary communication tool for members and the industry," TIA CEO Richard Gust said.
"It is the gateway to TIA and as such needs to be easy to use and to find information. This redesign has been a team effort, and we are excited about its ability to highlight the values and benefits of TIA membership and to enhance communications with our members and those interested in the tire industry."
TIA began the redesign process earlier this year working with Maryland-based website design company Potomac Digitek, which specializes in online technologies for the association and non-profit industries.
The redesigned website — www.tireindustry.org — brings more information to the homepage, making it easier to understand TIA's value proposition and to encourage membership, the association said, which includes prominently presenting the association's mission statement and a description of "Who We Are."
The home page also features a rotator at the top of the page promoting upcoming training classes as well as photos and information linking to membership information, member benefit partners, government advocacy efforts, upcoming events, directories, consumer education and other resources, including publications, reference materials, consumer online store and find a trainer.
The site also features a responsive design, which allows it to adapt fluidly to all user devices, TIA said.
