BOWIE, Md. — The deadline for nominations for the Tire Industry Hall of Fame is July 2.
The Tire Industry Association (TIA) calls induction into the hall the industry's highest honor.
Nomination forms are available at tireindustry.org.
"The Hall of Fame recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of individuals who have contributed greatly to the growth and/or development of the tire industry or have demonstrated high standards, ideals and leadership in the management of their businesses in the tire community," TIA said.
Candidates are considered based on their contribution of ideas promoting tire industry, service to the industry and the respect of their peers, TIA said.
Civic, cultural, educational and chartable work also is considered, the trade group said, "but are not a primary consideration as attributes for selection."
"The Hall of Fame honors the best in the industry and celebrates their lasting contributions," TIA CEO Roy Littlefield said.
New hall members will be recognized during TIA's Honors Awards Luncheon in Las Vegas Nov. 1.
Any person in the tire industry is eligible for consideration. For more information, contact Dave Zielasko, TIA vice president of marketing and communications, at [email protected] or 301-430-7280, extension 102.
