BOWIE, Md. — The Tire Industry Association (TIA) is partnering with research firm GfK Group on a webinar that will examine the future of the U.S. retail tire business as the economy starts to reopen after the extended COVID-19 shutdown.
The webinar, "Beyond the Crisis: A Roundtable on COVID-19 and What's Next for Tire Retail," is scheduled for 2 p.m. EDT on June 22.
GfK will present data from its point-of-sale retail panel of 3,500 tire retailers as well as information from its new leader panel of select retailers that provides weekly insight into the U.S. retail tire market. The research firm also will talk about customer survey results, including expectations from both retailers and brands.
Neil Portnoy, managing director, and Dave Stevens, vice president of POS tracking for tires in the U.S., will represent GfK. Greg Mynaugh, president of United Tire & Service L.L.C., and Chris Wyborny, regional vice president of GB Auto Service Inc., are also scheduled to take part in the webinar.
Dave Zielasko, vice president of marketing and communications at TIA, will moderate.
