PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — TBC Corp. is marking National Tire Safety Week at its Tire Kingdom Service Centers and NTB Tire & Service Centers by offering customers free tire care and 28-point vehicle checks in conjunction.
"We appreciate the continued efforts of the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association in making tire safety a priority especially as consumers are expected to hit the road in record numbers this summer," Brant Wilson, president and COO of TBC Automotive Group, said.
The USTMA, which represents the interests of 13 companies with tire manufacturing assets in the U.S., is promoting national tire safety week June 28-July 4 under the theme: "Do your part. Know your roll."
In addition to offering free safety inspections at its 600-plus retail tire and auto service stores, TBC is extending its information campaign to the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) — a charity supported by TBC — by spreading the tire safety message to families staying at Ronald McDonald Houses around the country.
"Partnering with RMHC this year on an educational awareness campaign provides us another opportunity to support RMHC families in helping to make sure they have safe, reliable transportation when their loved one needs care," Mr. Wilson said.
The free tire safety check will inspect for air pressure, tread depth, irregular wear patterns, nails, cuts, punctures and other visible damage, and visible structural integrity issues. The 28-point vehicle inspection includes a check of tires, fluid levels, battery and lights, hoses, belts and wipers, brake system, suspension and steering systems, TBC said.
