PHOENIX — Sun Auto Tire & Service Inc. has grown again in the state of Washington, acquiring Coopers Auto Repair Specialists, with one location in Tacoma and a second in Puyallup.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The locations have 19 employees and 22 service bays combined.
This marks the third acquisition Sun has made in 2022, following the acquisition of Superior Tire in April and Good Neighbor Tire & Auto Service in May.
Sun Auto Tire now operates 369 locations in 18 states, with continued plans for growth. Twenty of those locations are in Washington.
Chris Garman, vice president of development for Sun, said the company is "proud to step in and continue the legacies of businesses like Coopers Auto Repair Specialists. Kevin and Casey Cooper have built a strong team and reputation for quality, and as they prepare to move on to their next adventure, we work hard to ensure a smooth transition for their team and ours."
Sun will retain the Coopers Auto Repair Specialists brand name.
In 2021, Sun Auto said it added 11 automotive brands.
