BOW, N.H. — Sullivan Tire and Auto Service Inc. hosted the Bandag Retread Roadshow in Bow on Sept. 26, where customers were invited to learn more about retreading tires and take a tour of the Sullivan Tire retread facility.
Sullivan Tire's Commercial Division worked with Bridgestone Americas and Bandag to host this event.
"We had about 50 customers, and it seemed like every customer I spoke to said that our retread plant workers had a lot of energy and did a great job of explaining their station and how the equipment worked," said Bob Steele, Sullivan Tire's commercial division manager.
"Most people never get to see all the steps in how a tire is actually made, it was nice for our customers to see this and meet the people actually doing it."
The Bandag Retread Roadshow is a cross-country event that seeks to educate drivers about the benefits of retreading, and demonstrate how retreads are a reliable part of a truck fleet's performance.
Sullivan Tire, headquartered in Norwell, Mass., operates Bandag retread facilities in Ellington, Conn.; North Attleboro, Mass.; and Bow. It's among the 25 largest truck tire retreaders in the U.S. with a daily output of 475 tires.
