RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. — Sumitomo Rubber North America Inc. is increasing the price of Dunlop-brand motorcycle tires in the U.S. and Canada.
The increase will be between 2% and 10%, effective Feb. 15.
The tire maker cited increased costs in both transportation and labor in addition to other market factors as reasons for the increase.
Last November, SRNA announced price increases in the U.S. and Canada on Falken- and Ohtsu-brand consumer and medium truck tires. Prices of passenger and light truck tires increased by up to 8%, effective Jan. 1, while prices of medium truck tires rose up to 6%, effective Dec. 1.
