HIALEAH, Fla. — Sentury Tire USA has assumed full control of sales and marketing operations for AvanTech Tires L.L.C., a company that in March launched a range of truck/bus tires for North America.
The "strategic" move became effective Jan. 1. Both companies have ties to China's Qingdao Sentury Tire Co. Ltd.
Sentury Tire USA said the decision stems from its "unwavering commitment to optimizing operational efficiency and driving competitive pricing strategies" for the "evolving needs of partners nationwide."
Maxwell Wee, executive vice president of Sentury Tire USA, calls the move an "inception of a dynamic evolution for the AvanTech product lines, positioning them as a formidable force in the commercial tire sector."
Avantech Tires launched a full range of drive, steer, all-position, regional and trailer tires in the most popular sizes in North America, including some wide-base low-profile singles in the all-position fitment.
Sentury said it plans to bolster the AvanTech TBR lineup to include all-position, trailer, closed shoulder, open shoulder, long haul and mixed service applications.
Sentury said each tire is "meticulously engineered" to deliver durability, stability and proprietary features that enhance the tires tread wear and optimizes fuel efficiency.
"This move also strengthens our already diverse range of brands and opens up even more opportunities for existing AvanTech customers to tap into our other available offerings," Wee said.
Hialeah-based Sentury Tire USA said it is "dedicated" to making the transition seamless for AvanTech partners, including members of the Independent Tire Distributors Group (ITDG).
Existing sales representatives will continue to serve accounts directly, Sentury said, maintaining open lines of communication. For more information, call (305) 621-5101.
Sentury Tire USA markets Delinte, Landsail, Groundspeed, AvanTech, Pantera and Sentury tire brands in North America.
The Avantech brand is being built at the 8-year-old Sentury Tire plant in Rayong, Thailand.
