DIAMOND BAR, Calif. — The SEMA Wheel & Tire Council (WTC) will host a virtual networking event Sept. 28 for those active in the tire and wheel industry.
The event, scheduled to run from 7 to 8 p.m. EDT, is designed to help WTC members build quality business relationships, expand their professional network and learn how they can work with other wheel and tire companies.
In explaining its rationale for the event, the WTC said the wheel and tire aftermarket represents a diverse network of professionals from complementary backgrounds.
Whether it be media or warehouse distributor, manufacturers or service providers, retailers, marketing gurus or manufacturing representatives, each discipline works together to establish a strong foundation that benefits the industry as a whole, the WTC said.
Attendees will be introduced to other WTC members and meet members from complementary areas of expertise. Members within common disciplines will network among themselves, giving participants the greatest value, the WTC said.
They will be able to discuss what their companies do, share pivotal moments in their careers, talk about current projects, career advice and more.
To register, see the landing page the WTC has created for this event.
Membership in the WTC is open to all companies whose business focuses on the wheel industry, from manufacturers, importers, distributors, tire and wheel dealers, to service providers, according to SEMA.
Among the council's goals are:
- providing its members with a forum in which to address industry-related issues;
- offering networking and educational opportunities; and
- creating a database of technical information designed to aid member companies in creating new wheel designs and preparing application guides.
The WTC also works with SEMA's legislative and technical staff to address those matters which may affect the custom wheel industry.
