DIAMOND BAR, Calif. — Pickup truck owners accounted for nearly one-third of the $50.9 billion spent in 2021 on aftermarket specialty equipment, according to Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) research.
In its research, SEMA determined that roughly 13 million pickup trucks were modified during 2021, and, as such, the sector presents a "massive opportunity" for aftermarket suppliers to grow their business and expand in this market, SEMA said.
To help aftermarket participants understand the opportunities, SEMA is holding a webinar, "Understanding the Pickup Accessorization Market," on Aug. 24.
The webinar, scheduled for 2-3 p.m. (EDT), will include insights from data analysts and experts from the SEMA market research team, the trade group said, including details to help businesses understand how the data applies to their businesses.
The webinar also will delve into the trade group's market study on the sector, "SEMA Pickup Accessorization Report," which will be available for download on Aug. 18.
To sign up for the webinar, see the SEMA registration page.
