FLORENCE, S.C. — Bronco Lube L.L.C., a Jiffy Lube franchisee with seven outlets in South Carolina, is adding Mighty Auto Parts to its franchise portfolio.
Florence-based Bronco Lube is opening a pair of Mighty warehouses in South Carolina, in Spartanburg and Charleston, doing business as Mighty of the Upstate and Mighty of the Low Country, according to Mighty Distributing System, serving customers throughout South Carolina and parts of western North Carolina.
Bronco Lube is owned by Chad Weisbeck, a previous Jiffy Lube franchisee of the year who is taking over the Mighty franchise in South Carolina from a previous owner. He is the 10th Jiffy Lube franchise owner nationwide to also become a Mighty Auto Parts franchisee.
Mr. Weisbeck's new business ventures will distribute Mighty's preventive maintenance products to his Jiffy Lube Multicare locations and non-affiliated customers in their exclusive territories.
"From the first conversations about this business opportunity a few years ago all the way through the acquisition, I have really enjoyed working with the Mighty team," Mr. Weisbeck said. "We saw the Mighty additions as a way to vertically integrate with our existing business as well as stand-alone companies providing services that fill a need in our market. We look forward to improving our own internal inventory management as well as that of our new Mighty customers.
"Along with the quality of their products, Mighty has proven that they take customer relationships to a new level. Everyone has been outstanding to deal with and it is obvious that our success is important to them. We are looking forward to a long and prosperous relationship."
Mr. Weisbeck opened his first Jiffy Lube outlet in 2002 and was the brand's franchisee of the year in 2013.
Mighty President Josh D'Agostino added: "We are proud that Chad chose to partner with Mighty. ... Our entire team is quite impressed with him and his focus on the successful launch of his franchises. We know he'll fit right in with the Mighty family."
Separately, Mighty disclosed that Cavenaugh Auto Group of Arkansas has opened a Mighty Auto Parts franchise covering 25 counties in northeast Arkansas and five counties in southeast Missouri.
The new company, Mighty of NEA, will be based in Jonesboro, Ark.
