LAS VEGAS — French company Regom and its autonomous tire sorting machine is an initial practical application of emerging technologies building an ecosystem for future tires, according to CEO Arthur Wagner.
And it won't be the last. GDSO, a group comprised of top tire makers from around the world with the goal of maximizing every step of a tire's life cycle for efficiency and sustainability, dedicated its space at the CES 2025 to showcase partner Regom.
This story was first featured in the Jan. 27 "Innovation" edition of Tire Business.
Regom Tyres Reuse Solutions is an automated end-of-life tire sorting system that has the potential to close the gap on the end-of-life tire problem.
The birth of the system was largely out of necessity, Wagner said, but been such a success that Regom expanded into North America.
"GDSO is more than a concept for the future," Wagner said. "We are using it now to sort the tires."
