    The Fortune Tormenta LMD tire is designed for last-mile delivery fleets.

    LOS ANGELES — Prinx Chengshan Tire North America Inc. has launched the Fortune Tormenta LMD tire, designed for last-mile delivery fleets.

    Initially, the first tire in the new product line will come in one size, 235/65R16C, which is available for shipment immediately.

    Eight other sizes (185/60R15C, 195/75R16C, 225/75R16C, LT215/85R16, LT225/75R16, LT245/75R16, LT245/70R17 and LT245/75R17) will be available to be shipped in the first quarter of 2021

    Among the attributes of the Fortune Tormenta LMD are:

    • All-weather capability with the 3-peak mountain snowflake rating;
    • Four central grooves for excellent water evacuation
    • High-depth sipes with multiple biting edges for improved driving safety in various road conditions; and
    • Strengthened sidewall construction for improved load capability and durability against curb damage.

    Ken Coltrane, vice president of marketing and product development for Prinx Chengshan Tire North America, said the company is looking to add more sizes at the end of 2023.

    "With nine sizes being available, it makes it very easy to build container loads of just the Fortune Tormenta LMD," Coltrane said.

    The tire will be made at Prinx Chengshan's factory in Thailand. The company said it its price point "should be a very competitive alternative to the higher tier suppliers in the market."

    Prinx Chengshan said the Tormenta LMD was developed for the last mile delivery fleet with C-type commercial tire sizes. The company said by adding popular LT sizes used on contractor pickups and vans, it "makes the line even more attractive to the independent dealer who specializes in this type of business."

    The company said the Fortune line are "quality tires that drivers can have confidence in, whether they're driving their family around town or a fully loaded tractor-trailer."

    Prinx Chengshan said it follows high standards in its manufacturing process and that Fortune Tires "devotes itself to pushing the standards of tire solutions to make every journey matter."

    Prinx Chengshan Tire North America is a subsidiary of Prinx Chengshan (Shandong) Tire Co., Ltd. The Fortune Tires brand is imported and sold exclusively in North America by Prinx Chengshan Tire North America.
