ROME, Ga. — Pirelli Tire North America Inc. plans to raise prices on car and light truck tires in the U.S. by up to 10% on Jan. 17.
The increases — Pirelli's fifth in a 12-month period — will vary by line and size, Pirelli said, and are due to "changing market conditions." Members of the Pirelli sales team will contact customers to provide more detailed information about the changes.
This latest increase will be Pirelli's fifth in the U.S. in the past 12 months. Other increases have been:
- Oct. 1 — up to 8%; varying by line and tire size;
- July 1 — up to 6%. varying by line and tire size;.
- April 15 — up to 7%, varying by line and tire size; and
- Jan. 1 — by undisclosed amounts.
Pirelli joins Bridgstone Americas and Michelin North America in announcing price hikes for January 2022.
