COLLEGE PARK, Ga. — South Korean off-the-road (OTR) and commercial tire producer Hung-A Co. Ltd. has hired Jack Kim to manage its U.S. office in College Park, a suburb of Atlanta.
Hung-A, which goes to market primarily under the Tiron brand name, said Mr. Kim brings 16 years of international business experiences — including 10 in specialty tires and rubber tracks — to his new job.
Hung-A opened its Atlanta office and warehouse in 2016, in order to shore up its supply line of tractor tires for OEM customers in the U.S.
Stan Lee, managing director of sales of Hung-A, said Hung-A has "high expectations" for Mr. Kim, in light of his "profound knowledge of specialty tires" and his "professional attitude" toward new business.
Mr. Kim also spent six years with a steel product business, where he gained experience that will serve him well when it comes to dealing with assembled tire-wheel kit supply solutions for OEM fitments, Hung-A said.
Gyeongsangham-do, South Korea-based Hung-A was established in 1951. A major part of its business is tractor, construction equipment and forklift manufacturers in South Korea, Japan and the U.S.
It manufactures at plants in Korea and Indonesia. In addition to the Tiron brand, Hung-A also uses the Hung-A and Tinga brand names in other markets.
