CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Openbay Inc., an e-commerce marketplace for automotive repair and services, has launched an iOS mobile app and web application that offers vehicle owners and automotive service providers personalization, faster processing, upfront price estimates and contactless payment processing.
The new Openbay iOS mobile app has been redesigned and upgraded for better performance, with fewer steps from receiving upfront service price estimates, to booking, completing and online paying for service from a mobile phone, the company said.
New features include Apple sign-in and payment via Apple Pay, and display of appointment times at the street address where a mobile mechanic service will take place.
With this new release, vehicle owners who download, book and complete a service using the new iOS app by May 31 will receive $10 off their initial service.
"Openbay experienced strong and record demand throughout the pandemic as consumers went online for automotive services," Openbay founder and CEO Rob Infantino said.
"We are now better positioned, aligned and prepared for the new normal in shopping behavior across all customer generation segments [Gen-Z to Millennials to Gen-X to boomers]. Openbay will continue to innovate and position itself to thrive in the post COVID-19 market."
Cambridge-based Openbay describes itself as a provider of software-as-a-system-based solutions for automotive service providers.
