CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Openbay Inc., an online platform that connects vehicle owners with local auto service shops, has added the RepairSmith mobile vehicle service to its network.
Consumers can now book automotive repair and maintenance services delivered by RepairSmith Inc. on the Openbay automotive services marketplace, the company said.
RepairSmith provides maintenance and repair services at a customer's home or office and backs its services with a 12-month/12,000-mile warranty. RepairSmith technicians are company employees who operate the firm's service vans. The mobile service is available in more than 650 cities.
Openbay provides customers with online search and scheduling of auto repair and maintenance services with participating auto repair shops in their local markets and they receive upfront price estimates.
The service centers have been vetted individually by Openbay, the company said, and can be sorted by location, reviews, pricing information and amenities.
According to Openbay, RepairSmith and other participating shops:
- get exclusive access to its search program, which is limited to only a few businesses in each area;
- participate in a new digital customer-acquisition platform, gaining access to an unlimited number of consumers having an immediate need for service;
- have appointments delivered to them automatically by Openbay; and
- have their brand presented to consumers who match their needs for select services.
