SINGAPORE — In an effort to help its distributors help their customers, tire wholesaler/private brander Omni United (S) Pte. Ltd. is compiling resource guides of COVID-19-related government agency resources for the countries where it operates.
The Singapore-based company — represented in the U.S. by Omni United USA in Traverse City, Mich. — is offering this resource under a "We are in this together" banner, which Chairman GS Sareen said reflects his company's core value of giving back to society.
As of March 27, the company had posted resource guides for the U.S., United Kingdom, Italy and Japan. Omni United said it is active in 90 countries worldwide.
In addition, Omni United is donating "thousands" of protective masks to its patrons and business partners for them to use and distribute in their local communities.
"Right now, more than ever, it is important that we all realize that we are one people, one world, we are all in this together," Mr. Sareen said. "A virus has no nationality, and it does not discriminate, affecting many independently of their skin color, gender, age and nationality. It is time we fight this menace as one society and one human race."
Over the past nine years, for example, Omni United has supported fund-raising efforts for breast cancer research, raising over $1.15 million to fund approximately 23,000 hours of research.
Founded in Singapore in 2003 by Mr. Sareen, Omni distributes a broad portfolio of brands — including its own Radar, Patriot, American Tourer and Tecnica brands — in 90 countries.
