DALLAS — Private-brand tire marketer Omni Group has hired Amy Coleman, formerly with Toyo Tire USA Corp., to be its assistant vice president of marketing, North America.

In her new position, Ms. Coleman will lead strategic planning, public relations and advertising, duties that will allow her to drive all marketing activities. Her hiring supports the company's efforts to grow its flagship brand, Radar Tires, and appeal to a wider audience.

"Over the last five years we have built a significant product range that's on par with some of the leading brands in the market, and now we plan to shift our focus to marketing it and building the Radar brand," GS Sareen, president and CEO of Omni United (S) Pte. Ltd., Omni Group's Singapore-based parent company.

Mr. Sareen lauded Ms. Coleman for the "experience and skill set" she brings to her new position and expressed confidence about Omni Group's succeeding in its marketing endeavors under her guidance.

Ms. Coleman comes to Omni Group from Toyo Tire USA, where she was senior director of marketing since June 2011. Prior to that she was director of marketing at Fleetwood RV Inc./Fleetwood Entrprises for over 15 years.

During her time with Toyo, she was responsible for transforming the brand image and drastically improving consumer awareness of the brand, Omni Group said. Under her leadership, Toyo Tires increased brand awareness and grew to have one of the largest social media followings in the automotive industry.

"I'm thrilled to be a part of the Omni family. I see tremendous growth opportunity for Omni and the Radar brand in the U.S. and globally. I look forward to using my experience and creativity to challenge the norm and bring awareness and excitement to the brand." Ms. Coleman said.
