The Nokian TR Forest 2 tractor tire's tread pattern has been updated with several features.

NOKIA, Finland — Nokian Tyres Plc. has updated its lineup of light and medium weight forestry tractor tires, debuting the Nokian TR Forest 2.

The Nokian TR Forest 2 tractor tire's tread pattern has been updated with several features, according to Nokian product manager Teemu Vainionpää, including optimized edges, traction boosters and flow guides while being puncture-resistant.

"And if I may add, it looks a lot cooler," he said.

Mr. Vainionpää said the thick layer of rubber compound offers good protection, and "there is also a special shoulder armor design that protects the shoulder area from damage."

The modern bias structure tire carcass incorporates puncture-resisting reinforcements under the tread, making the product strong.

"For effective puncture resistance, the key is to have all the components in tire construction working together," Mr. Vainionpää said. "Rather than just a single protective element, the puncture resistance is a result of tire's protection level and its ability to take hits from outer obstacles."

The tire also offers stability, according to the tire maker, with "excellent shock and swing absorbing characteristics," resulting in "steady performance in several different types of tractor work."

The Nokian TR Forest 2 tractor tire will be available in North America beginning in November in 12 sizes, with additional sizes being released in December and in February, 2022

"Our expertise in forestry tires, combined with the modern bias technology and materials, has taken our products to the next level." Mr. Vainionpää said. "We have listened to the user needs and added more useful features to a classic tire, improving its value further."
